Accounting Assistant

Join the Wells Ag Supply Team!  As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Verifying the accuracy of billing data and revising accounting discrepancies. 
  • Prepare bills and invoices by taking records of the items purchased or services rendered. 
  • Finalize shipping documents and contracts. 
  • Keep a record of all invoices, support documents and shipping documents.
  • Operate various accounting machines (calculating and billing machines).
  • Answer mail or telephone inquiries regarding products, services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, obtain details of complaints, rates, routing, or procedures.
  • Inform customers by mail or telephone of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
  • Contact customers to obtain or relay account information.
  • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers’ problems.
  • Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of any planned adjustments.
  • Obtain customers’ names, addresses, and billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased, and enter this information on order forms.
  • Confer with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace shipments.
  • File copies of orders received, or post orders on records.
  • Comply with Wells Ag Supply policies, including Wells Ag Supply safety policies
  • Report to the Accounting Manager

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in a business-related field or higher is preferred as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office software. 
  • Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and efficient.

Semi Delivery Specialist

Join the Wells Ag Supply Team!  A Semi Delivery Specialist transports materials to and from specified destinations in a safe and effective manner. Some of the requirements include:

  • Must have and maintain a valid Class A CDL license.
  • Hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days.
  • A minimum of one year of CDL driving experience preferred
  • Available to work extended hours when needed.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and efficient.

Warehouse Specialist

Join the Wells Ag Supply Team!  A warehouse specialist is accountable for inventory control and product rotation, along with managing areas and keeping them orderly. Some of the requirements include:

  • High School education or GED; or one to two years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Maintain current license that applies to the position.
  • Available to work extended hours when needed.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and efficient.
